NTC development March 2018
Just before the start of the season for outdoor tennis courts, we would like to update you on the latest state of affairs. On the construction site, the drilling of the poles for the future NTC goes well and we expect to be done within 2 to 3 weeks. In the mean time, the preparations for pouring the foundation are well on their way. This process will involve concrete trucks driving back and forth for a few days. These trucks will use the construction road to the rear of the hotel to prevent any inconvenience as much as possible.
The entrance to the tennis center has been closed for the last winter period, but now that the outdoor season starts a walkway has been created by putting a bridge over the construction site. As everyone will understand this is a temporary (creative) solution to help keep the center accessible. It is possible that as a result of the construction work the path ocassionally needs to be closed for short periods of time.
Ahead of the new season, the tennis center has renovated 5 outdoor courts, and so all 8 outdoor courts are now equipped with new drainage systems, modern irrigation installations and new gravel. Currently, a lot of work is being done to complete the new fencing around the outdoor courts before the competition starts. It is expected that in the 2nd week of April the new banners will be put on the fencing. Mid-April, the new tennis wall in the practice cage will be available as an additional facility to the tennis center.
Finally, we would like to mention that in order to keep both the bowling center and the tennis center accessible to our suppliers, the roundabout in front of the entrance to the bowling will be removed. Naturally, the statue "The Bowler" will remain a part of the site and will be moved to the entrance to the bowling centre.
We wish you all a nice Easter and a wonderful start of a new tennis season.
